ReBecca’s pictorial biography…

Where it all began…

ReBecca is a seasoned professional photographer based in Syracuse, New York, a small city located in the center of the state. She’s been a professional photographer in Upstate NY for over 20 years. As a child, she would watch her father develop b&w film and photographs in their home-based darkroom and assist him in the studio. The numbers around the camera lens always intrigued ReBecca and she was greatly fascinated by how an image could appear on paper in the room with the red light. In 1992, while still in high school, she took her first photography class which planted the seed for her photography business by creating portraits for friends and for those they would refer to her. Only six short years later, she photographed her first wedding and graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Photography.

After seven years of contemplating a business name, ReBecca's Photography officially made the cut in 1999. Fast-forward 20 years later, she’s photographed close to 700 weddings and countless portraits, has continued to create art, expanded into B2B photography services, was inducted into the Liverpool Central School District's Fine Arts Hall of Fame, and most recently earned a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications from Marist College. The IMC master’s degree program significantly strengthens her skills in working with businesses, both large and small.

Style - Natural yet Polished

From the moment she created her first portrait and to the present day, ReBecca strives to create and capture images that reflect the trueness of her subject. You won't find commercial props used by multiple clients or heavy post-processing in her work. She believes in photographing you, your family and friends, and yes, even your beloved four-legged fur babies in a way that is authentic and timeless. You won’t find rigid posing, either. Her style has an easy-going and friendly approach making subtle adjustments to what feels natural to you.

Her Clients - Sophisticated. Fun. Cool. Classy.

ReBecca’s clients look for something unique and of high quality and like to have some fun (or a lot) along the way. They aren't afraid to explore the road less taken, have a sense of humor, are pretty cool people, and appreciate creativity.

“She is brilliant with a camera and a joy to work with.”

What I Love About Art

“I have always been intrigued by all forms of art. I love to see the color and brushstrokes on an artist’s canvas, to feel the impressions in clay from a potter’s fingers, and immerse myself in the essence of music as it takes you on a journey through the musician’s heart and soul. These are just some of the things that make me who I am as an artist bringing my work to life. There are those that can paint a masterpiece or write eloquently worded lyrics. My talent is that I perceive things that the ordinary eye does not and I have the experience, knowledge, and education to make it come to life through photography. The art of photography and the creative process is not only my calling; it is truly my passion.” -ReBecca
